Hill Country Homes
Hill Country Homes feature all exterior rock with large gable ends. This was the “German” style of homes with a dog run in the middle of the house. The “compound” style with multiple out buildings is popular of the
German era style but building additional out buildings increases the costs substantially. You may consider a detached garage with a covered porch to the main house to give it a multiple effect without adding a lot of cost. Nice covered porches are needed to protect the doors and windows from the excessive western exposure and allow you to sit outdoors.

Exterior combination of stucco and rock or brick is popular for the Mediterranean style with arches throughout the house.
